Michele McMahon Obituary

Michele McMahon, a beloved soul with a heart of immense warmth and kindness, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, with her loving daughter by her side. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifelong Bayonne resident.

Michele held positions at local businesses in Bayonne, including cashier and greeting card arranger at Walgreens and deli clerk at Quick Check. She also worked as a crossing guard for the City of Bayonne, where she always had a friendly smile and happy demeanor.

Known as a culinary genius, Michele's kitchen was the heart of her home. She took special pride in preparing authentic American, Irish, German, Italian, Egyptian, and Spanish meals that were always sure to be a hit.  In her spare time, she pursued many hobbies and interests, including Bingo, arts and crafts, listening to her favorite tunes by Elvis Presley and the Beatles, and trips to Wildwood as well as Atlantic City, where she enjoyed the thrill of testing her luck at the slot machines.

Michele will forever remain a shining light in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she may no longer be here physically, her spirit will live on for all eternity.

Michele was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Gloria (Riordan) McMahon and the sister-in-law of the late Robert Pidgeon. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted and loving daughter, Melissa Zaev, and husband, Radoslav, and her sister, Florence Pidgeon.

As per Michele's wishes, no services were scheduled. A private cremation was held at Rosehill Crematory in Linden, NJ.

AFTERGLOW

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one;

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun.

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
