Helping Families Before, During, and After the Need

Our Services

The following are the general types of services offered by Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home. The expressed wishes of the deceased as well as their family determine what the best way is to proceed with a funeral service.

Traditional Funeral and Chapel Services

Traditionally, this service includes viewing hours with a gathering of family and friends at the funeral home or church and the presence of an opened or closed casket.  Often the services are conducted by a member of the Clergy or the funeral director.

Direct Cremation

Direct cremation is when cremation occurs shortly after death without embalming. After cremation, the cremated remains may be placed in an urn or other container. No viewing or visitation is involved, although a memorial service may be held at the funeral home or the church with or without the cremated remains. After cremation, final disposition of the cremated remains can be inurnment in a columbarium burial, scattered at sea or land, or kept at home in an urn.

Memorial Service

This type of service occurs when the deceased is not present. A memorial service is a time to commemorate the life of your loved one. This ceremony may be held at the funeral home, a church, or if desired a more casual location of your choosing.

Graveside Service

A graveside service is when families gather at the grave site where a brief ceremony is held to honor the memory of the deceased.

Direct Burial

A direct burial is when burial occurs shortly after death. No viewing or visitation is involved and embalming is not necessary. Services may take place at the burial or at a later time.

Pre-Arrangements

A pre-arrangement is the detailed planning of a funeral before death occurs. For some, the act of preparing for one's passing can be difficult. It is comforting to know that your wishes and the burden and expense of planning a funeral are taken care of. “CHOICES “ accounts may be opened through us with the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association Trust Fund. We are prepared to help you with all aspects of funeral planning and financing. We accept and will transfer pre-need funeral arrangements made elsewhere. Pre-planning may be completed in your home at your convenience. Our simple plan assures peace of mind and protects costs against inflation. It is also SSI/Medicaid approved.

Veterans

Veterans of New Jersey have an incredible resource available to them at no cost. The Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans' Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ will provide a grave at no cost to an honorably discharged veteran as well as his or her spouse and in some cases, minor or dependent child. The cemetery will also provide at no cost the grave opening, burial vault, and bronze marker for both the veteran and spouse. If you need assistance with reserving a grave at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans' Cemetery or applying for veteran benefits, please feel free to call the funeral home.

Medicaid

Many Medicaid recipients upon their death are entitled to burial benefits through the Department of Social Services. If qualified, Medicaid will provide those entitled up to $2,246.00 towards funeral expenses and $524.00 toward burial or cremation expenses (if applicable.)

The family may supplement the Medicaid amount by $1,570.00 which may cover the overall expense for a traditional funeral. If you need assistance with the Medicaid funeral benefit or would like to find out if you or your family member is qualified, please feel free to call the funeral home and allow us to assist you.
