Carole Kaczka (nee: Zientek) of Brick, NJ, formerly of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2019, at the Manorcare at Lely Palms, in Naples Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Carole was born in Bayonne, NJ, on April 23, 1933, to Peter and Josephine Zientek. After graduating from Bayonne High School in 1951, she worked as a legal a secretary for a local law firm. On June 17, 1956, she married the love of her life, Thaddeus (Dr. Ted) Kaczka. The couple resided in both Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, and Montgomery, Alabama while Ted served as a dentist in the United States Air Force. Carole and her husband later returned to New Jersey where he established a successful dental practice which served the Bayonne community and Carole assisted in the office.
Over the years Carole volunteered at Bayonne Hospital, Mt. Carmel Grammar School, Saint Peter’s Prep, and Marist High School, where she enthusiastically devoted countless hours to every project and initiative she participated in. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and also looked forward to indulging in her guilty pleasures of chocolate and ice cream. No one could come close to matching the famous meatballs that Carole took great joy in making for everyone.
Carole embraced life to the fullest with style and grace. But most of all, she loved and adored her family, her husband, and her children and grandchildren, as well as her pet cats Sweetie and Max.
Carole was predeceased by her husband Thaddeus (Dr. Ted) in 1996, her oldest son James, her parents, Peter and Josephine (Niedzialkowski) Zientek, and her brothers, Edward and Ted (Theodore) Zientek. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeff and his wife Donna, and Dave and his wife Loretta, and her five grandchildren; Daniel, Michael, Gregory, David, and Bridget. Also survived by her loving nieces and nephews and dear friends of many years.
