Dorothy (Murawinski) Dolan

Dorothy Dolan (nee: Murawinski), 78, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, with her loving family by her side.  Born in Jersey City, she moved to Bayonne where she resided for most of her life.

Dorothy was a counter attendant at De Luca’s Confectionary and Grill in Bayonne.  Throughout her 20 years there she worked diligently to make it a cheerful and welcoming place for customers to come to for breakfast and lunch.  She established lasting friendships and was known by many for her gracious and hospitable demeanor. 

Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her mother on their much anticipated yearly trips to Florida for family visits.  Her favorite pastimes included Bingo and playing cards with her family and friends.  She especially enjoyed testing her good luck with scratch-off tickets and playing the lottery.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband John (in 1992), her son Michael, and her parents, Ignatius and Anna (Bobowicz) Murawinski.  Left to cherish her memory are her son John and his wife Pamela, her sister Carol Murawinski, and her four adored grandchildren, Kasey Nicole, Jessica Paige, Sean Michael, and Haley Lynn.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, 20 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, on Sunday, September 15, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.  A funeral mass in Dorothy's honor will be offered on Monday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
