Eleonore I. (Jodzio) Posluszny

Eleonore I.  Posluszny (nee Jodzio), 83, of Bayonne passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Bayonne Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, Eleonore resided in Bayonne for the past 28 years.

Eleonore was employed with the Colgate Palmolive Company as a private secretary, a position she held for 26 years before her retirement.  She met the love of her life and future husband, John, at a the Bayway Polish Home in Elizabeth, NJ, where their passion for Polka dancing continued all through the 80’s and 90’s.  Eleonore will be remembered as a loving and kindhearted person and will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by parents, John and Mary (nee: Woronko) Jodzio, 1 sister, and 6 brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 35 years, John, her brother-in-law Stanley, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  A funeral mass in Eleonore's honor will be offered on Wednesday, May 16, at 10:00 am at St John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment: Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
