Ethel (Kreiss) Skowronski, age 85, a lifelong Bayonne resident, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at her home with her loving daughter by side.
Before her retirement, Ethel was employed as an administrative assistant for Dr. Gomez in Bayonne. Prior to that she held positions throughout the years as a cashier for the business office at Bayonne Hospital and as a dental assistant for Dr. Zall in Bayonne. She was also a former manager for Michaels Yarn Shop for many years.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph in 1976; 1 son, Joseph, 2 brothers, Joseph and Henry Kreiss, 1 sister, Stella Robson and 1 grand-niece, Ashley Barton. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Barbara Ann Skowronski, 2 brothers, Walter and Frank Kreiss, 1 nephew, Frank Skowronski and his wife Laura, 2 nieces, Denise Skowronski and Tracy Pulaski and 5 grand-nieces, Nicole, Caturano, Alyssa, Diana and Christina Skowronski and Nicole Pulaski.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, 20 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 4p.m. to 8p.m. A funeral mass in her honor will be offered on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
