Gloria A. LeFante (nee: Carrera), a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side.
Gloria was employed as a bank teller for the Broadway National Bank of Bayonne, a position she held for 37 years prior to her retirement in 1995. Gloria was a parishioner of Assumption Church where she was active in their CYO. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 19 in Bayonne, and for many years was a league bowler at the Hudson Lanes.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband John LeFante, her sister Rose De Russo and her brother Frank Carrera. Survived by her daughter Mary Oates and her husband John; her son Thomas Lefante and his wife Linda; her 4 grandchildren, Kristy and Daniel LeFante, Laura Bomba and her husband Richard and Kelly Oates; 1 great-grandson Luke Lefante; and her sister-in-law Gerri Carrera.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a catholic prayer service at 12:30 p.m. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Gloria’s name be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
