Irene (Czachorowski) Dragwo

Irene Dragwo, (nee: Czachorowski), 76, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.  Born in Jersey City, she resided in Bayonne for the past 23 years.  Prior to her retirement, Irene worked as a credit manager for the Kohler Distribution Company in Hawthorne, NJ for more than 20 years.  

Irene loved spending time with her husband Fred on excursions to Atlantic City and visiting various hotels.  Together they savored special moments on the boardwalk taking relaxing walks and watching the ocean views.  Irene also took great joy in listening to music of all types, especially country western, where she always had her car radio tuned into.

Irene was predeceased by her parents, Emile and Helen Czachorowski and her siblings, Maryann, Paul, John, and William Czachorowski.  Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 47 years, Fred, her son Brett, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Dottie Dragwo.  Also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing hours at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral mass in Irene’s honor will be offered on Wednesday, August 28, at 11:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, N.J.
