John R. Yacula Jr.

John R. Yacula Jr., 70, of Bayonne, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Center in Montclair, NJ.  He was born and raised in Jersey City before settling in Bayonne several years ago.

John served his country proudly in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of sergeant.  After completing his military duties he worked for the Prentiss Book Company as a supervisor, a position he held for many years.  

John was predeceased by parents, John Sr. and Helen (nee: Grabowski) Yacula.  Left to cherish his loving memory are his sister Mary Lapinski and husband Thomas and two nieces, Jennifer Lapinski and Darlene Lapinski-Kaczka and husband Chris.  

A memorial mass with John’s ashes present will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 8, at 11:00 am from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd St., Bayonne.  Everyone is asked to assemble in front of church at 10:45 am.
