Joseph John Dietz, 76, of Lilburn, Georgia, formally of Bayonne, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia with his loving wife by his side.
Joseph was born in Manhatten, New York and has resided most of his life in Bayonne before settling in Georgia 10 years ago. Prior to his retirement he was employed as an electrician by Conrail Railroad in Elizabeth, N.J.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph G. and Agnes (nee: Rinehart) Dietz, and his brother Robert Dietz. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years Yihua Zhang, daughters, Deborah Ramos, Crystal Cortes, and Agnes Taranto; sons, Joseph Dietz and Merritt Dietz; 2 sisters, Fran Protnicki and Lois Bowman, 1 brother George Dietz; 3 grandchildren, Dio, Daniel, and Jean; and 1 great-grandchild, Nyliah.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, on Thursday, November 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass in Joseph's honor will be offered on Friday, November 17, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
