Lawrence Joseph Pilarski, 82, Bayonne, NJ, passed away on Friday,
December 7, 2018, at RWJ University Hospital, Rahway, NJ.
Lawrence was the founder and director of the Bayonne Ostomy Alliance,
a volunteer based non-profit support group dedicated to providing
mutual aid, information and education for people who have had or will
have ostomy related surgery. He volunteered countless hours bringing
comfort to patients at local hospitals, including Bayonne Medical
Center and Jersey City Medical Center.
He was also a former manager for both Rite Aid and McDonalds, both in Bayonne.
Lawrence is survived by his beloved children, Bruce (Susan) Parks of Clinton, MD,
Michelle (Paul) Musetti of Damascus, PA and Erica (Dominick)
DeBenedictis, Staten Island, NY; grandchildren, Ian (Maggie) Parks,
Jersey City, Vicki Parks, Baltimore, MD, Jason (Jenn) Parks, Perry
Hall, MD, Sara Musetti, Chapel Hill, NC, Luke Musetti, Silver Springs,
MD, Rachel Musetti, Damascus, PA, and Amir Jacobs, Bayonne; his
sister, Carol Stafford, beloved niece, Christine Guerrero, nephews,
Walter Stafford and James Stafford, grandnieces, Laura, Amy and
Annalise and grandnephews, Colin and Evan, all of Huntsville, AL and
dear friends Liz Parks and Ray Garland, Union City, NJ, and his
beloved canine companion, Gigi, who has retired to the Maryland
countryside in the care of his beloved son Bruce.
Visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, December 9, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Cremation will be private.
