Marianna (Gromadzka) Chojnowska

Marianna (Nee: Gromadzka), Chojnowska, age 77, of Bayonne passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 1, 2018.  Born in Andrychy, Poland, she emigrated to the United States in 1991 where she resided for the past 27 years in Bayonne. Marianna was employed as a home health care provider with the Loving Health Care Agency in Springfield, NJ, a position she held for 10 years until her retirement in 2014.

Marianna will be remembered for her fierce independence and strong devotion to her family and faith.  She was the loving daughter of the late Zygmunt and Jozefa (Biedrzycka) Gromadzki and dear sister to Lucyna Gutowska and Rajmund Gromadzki. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of over 50 years, Waclaw; her children and their spouses, Boguslawa Rudnicka (Slawomir), Ewa Maciejewska (Slawomir), Hanna Filipkowski (Wieslaw), Mieczyslaw Chojnowski (Barbara), and Krzystof Chojnowski (Agnieszka); her sister Celina Bondarewicz; and 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 5, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.  A funeral mass in Polish will be held in Marianna’s honor on Thursday, September 6, at 10:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.
