Martin P. Sulovski

Martin P. Sulovski, 85, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away, on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. 

Born in Newark, NJ, Martin was a graduate of Central High School in Newark, class of 1953.  A man of honor, integrity and intense patriotism, Martin served in the United States Navy as a radio operator.  After completing his military duties he went on to become a self employed diamond setter.   

Martin was a member of the American Legion Connecticut Farms Post #35, Union and also served for many years as secretary for the Union County Jewelers Bowling League at the Four Seasons Bowling Center.  During his leisure time he enjoyed watching football and was a diehard fan of the Giants. Lovingly referred to as "Pop Pop", he was a devoted family man who enthusiastically supported and cheered his grandchildren's life events and activities.

Martin was predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Marilyn (nee: Brinton), in 2005; parents, John and Anna (nee: Krisanda) Sulovski; brother John, and his canine friend, Chewie.  Survived by his daughter Susan Devanney and her husband Daniel, two grandchildren, Paige and Zachary, and brothers, Joseph and Fred. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. at the Bradley-Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union.

Funeral mass: Monday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m. from the Parish of St. Theresa, Kenilworth, NJ.  Interment: Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
