Mary A. Michna (nee: Mocieko), 90, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side.
A lifelong Bayonne resident, Mary worked as a machine operator for the Western Electric Corporation in Kearny, a position she held for many years. She then took a position with the Best Food Corporation in Bayonne before her retirement 25 years ago. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality of St. Michael's Church and the Bayonne Exxon Annuitants. Mary left a lasting impression on all who had the good fortune and pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruce M. Michna in 2011, parents, Frank Maceiko and Helen (Tyler) Maceiko, sisters, Margaret Laurich, Helen Schindler, and Frances Verona and her brother Edward A. Maceiko. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Barbara McCabe and husband Thomas; and Donna Redling; one sister, Florence Van Pelt, one brother, Richard Maceiko, four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Connors and husband James, Matthew, Alyson, and Lindsey Redling; and 1 great-grandson Benjamin Connors.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, November 4, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass in Mary’s honor will be offered on Monday, November 5, at 10:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice in Clifton, N.J. would be most appreciated.
