Valarie Tucker-Ribakove, 64, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord on Monday, August 12, 2019. Born in New York City, Valarie lived in the Newport area of Jersey City before moving to Bayonne where she settled for the last several years of her life.
Valarie loved telecommunications and retired from her professional career after working with the Environmental Defense Fund as an information technology manager in New York City for nearly a decade. Her favorite pastimes included traveling, cooking, and reading. When possible, she attended church and mentored youth. Valarie was known for her deep love for cats and without hesitation opened her heart and home to strays throughout the years.
Valarie was predeceased by her parents, John and Arline Tucker and her sister, Sharon Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Craig Tucker and many loving nieces and nephews.
Cremation was privately held. A memorial service and celebration of life will take place at Bread of Life Church, 1345 Straight Path, Wyandanch, NY on Wednesday, August 21 at 12:30 p.m. with repast to follow.
Grieve not..
nor speak of me with tears..
but laugh and talk of me..
as though I were beside you..
I loved you so
'twas Heaven here
with you
