Veronica Sluzynski (nee: Domanowski), of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Bayonne Medical Center. “Ronnie” as she was known by her family and friends, was born in Jersey City and has resided in Bayonne for the past 48 years. She was employed at Shoprite Supermarket as a deli clerk for many years until her retirement.
Ronnie will be most remembered as a down to earth woman with a good heart. She enjoyed quite times at home playing solitaire and doing her daily crossword puzzles. She loved doting over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the joy they brought to her life. Ronnie and her beloved late husband, Jay, shared a love of travel and would often explore different parts of the country. She made many lifelong friends throughout the years and savored the memories spent with her neighbors sitting on the bench her husband built.
Ronnie was predeceased by her husband, Clement “Jay” Sluzynski (in 2008); her parents, Edmund and Stephanie (Grzeszczyk) Domanowski; her sister, Lorraine Rosella; her brother, Edmund Domanowski; and her granddaughter, Dana Lee Sluzynski. She is survived by her two sons, Steven and Paul Sluzynski; one sister, Theresa Szablowski; her grandchildren, Jason and his wife Lisa; Amie, Mark, and Katie; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Clara.
A visitation will be held at Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a Catholic wake service. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
