Aida Mendoza Obituary

Aida M. Mendoza entered into eternal rest peacefully on January 30, 2025, at her son’s home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in San Cristobal, Venezuela, Aida  immigrated to the United States in 1990 and embraced her new life in Bayonne for the next 30 years. As a devoted homemaker, her greatest passion was nurturing her family and meeting their needs with unwavering love and dedication.

Aida possessed an extraordinary talent for nail design that not only captivated her family and friends but left them in awe of her creativity. Each of her nail art creations was a stunning masterpiece, demonstrating her exceptional skill and meticulous attention to detail. In her spare time, she enjoyed indulging in her favorite soap operas in the comforts of her home.

Aida truly delighted in exploring New York City with her husband, Francisco. Together, they enjoyed the vibrant sights of Times Square, the Empire State Building, the monumental past and present World Trade Centers, as well as walks in Central Park. She also looked forward to trips back to Venezuela to visit family and friends. Aida's vibrant spirit and generous heart profoundly impacted countless lives. She will be sorely missed and forever remembered by everyone fortunate to have known her.

Aida was predeceased by her parents, Mario Da Silva and Delfina Mendoza. She is survived by her dearly beloved husband of 50 years, Francisco Garcia; her two sons, Norman Garcia and his wife, Zizi Chen, and Alfredo Garcia and his longtime companion, Farzana Muhammed; and her three step-sisters, Josefina, Mariela, and Zoraima Mendoza.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Aida’s life on Tuesday, February 4, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home.
