Alfredo Negron, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on Saturday, November 29, 2025, after being cared for with compassion over the past six years by his dedicated team of caretakers.
Alfred, affectionately known as "Alfie" and "Freddie", was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and was raised in Villa Palmeras before coming to the United States in 1953, where he made Bayonne his home.
Alfie was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication, which remained constant throughout his life. He was the owner and operator of Affordable Home Improvements, a reputable general contracting business dedicated to serving the Tri-State area for many years. Alfie was also a devoted entrepreneur, building several businesses, including nightclubs, a barbershop, and a hair salon, each reflecting his dedication.
Alfie enjoyed being in the company of others and sharing conversation and laughter. He was known to be a good dancer and always brought warmth and energy to any gathering. He was also an avid antique collector with a deep appreciation for items that reflected the past.
Alfie will be remembered with love and gratitude and will remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
Alfie was predeceased by his former wife, Evelyn Hernandez; his parents, Ralph Negron and Aurora (Mendez-Gandarilla) Negron; his brother, Raul Negron; and his sister-in-law, Mary "Mae" Alvarez. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Dean Magliocca; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Florida; his brothers, William Alvarez of Bayonne and Ralph Junior, and his wife, Lola, of Puerto Rico; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to his longtime companion, Shanti Raghunandan, and caretakers, Maria Bare, and Vilma Shimshi.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Alfie Negron on Tuesday, December 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Catholic religious service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.
Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
So loved, so missed, so very dear.
With love,
Shanti Raghunandan,
Maria Bare, and
Vilma Shimshi
