Andrzej Miedzwiedz passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Born in Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1993, residing in Jersey City before settling in Bayonne for 16 years.
Andrzej was known for his strong work ethic and devotion to his family. He was employed as a bricklayer at the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers in Long Island City, NY, a position he held for many years.
Andrzej genuinely appreciated the great outdoors, savoring quiet moments of freshwater fishing at Cranbury Lake in Sussex County. In his leisure time, he took joy in planting fruits and vegetables in his backyard garden and engaging in his favorite hobby, coin collecting. A skilled craftsman with a golden touch, Andrzej could repair anything he set his mind to and readily offered his expertise to those who needed him.
Andrzej will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who felt privileged to know him. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanislaw and Hieronima (Kuczynska) Miedzwiedz. Left to cherish his memory are his dearly beloved wife, Krystyna (Maciorowska) Miedzwiedz; daughters, Katarzyna Rigail (Nestor), Joanna Miedzwiedz (Oscar Cesar), Dorota Martinez (Josue), and Victoria Miedzwiedz; and his adored grandchildren, Amber, Patrick, Jaden, Ashley, Jacob, Fabian, and Olivia.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, December 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Cmentarz Komunalny Cemetery in Elk, Poland, where Andrzej will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider planting a tree in memory of Andrzej.
