Anna Chlasciak Obituary

Anna Chlasciak (nee: Kobialka), passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2020 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.  Born in Poland, she emigrated to the United States many years ago, settling in Bayonne.

Anna worked as a bank teller for the BCB Bank in Bayonne, a position she proudly held for 17 years and where she was known for her high-spirited and welcoming demeanor towards the bank customers.   She was a loving and devoted mother who especially treasured her role as "Babci" to her adored grandchildren.  She found joy in life's simple pleasures such as shopping, cooking,  and spending quility time with her family.  She leaves behind a rich legacy of love and fond memories for all who were lucky enough to know her.

Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jozef L. Chlasciak (in 2016),  and her parents, Mieczyslaw and Henryka (nee: Rodzik), Kobialka, and her brother Piotrus Kobialka.  She is survived by her daughter Martha Fogu and husband Thomas, son Michael and wife Alicia Chlasciak, her two sisters, Donna Szymczak and husband Mark and Urszula Zalewska.  Also survived by three grandchildren, Tyler, Sydney and Steel, and several nieces and nephews.

You Toiled So Hard

You toiled so hard for those you loved.

You said goodbye to none,

your spirit flew before we knew,

your work on earth was done.

We miss you now, our hearts are sore,

as time goes by we miss you more.

Your loving smile, your gentle face,

no one can fill your vacant place.

Your life was love and labor.

Your love for your family true.

You did the best for all of us.

We will always remember you.
