Anna (Rusyniak) Czupyk

Anna Czupyk (nee: Rusyniak), age 82, of Bayonne, passed away at home on Friday, September 4, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Bielanka, Poland, she immigrated to the United States in 1991 ,where she resided in Bayonne for the past 29 years.

Anna was a proud homemaker who treasured times spent with her family.  Her outstanding cooking and baking skills made her home warm and welcoming for all who entered.  She had a “green thumb” which was evident in her annual vegetable and flower gardens that she meticulously maintained every year.

Anna was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she was an active member of the Rosary Society and volunteered at various church functions, helping with pierogi  fundraisers and making her famous baked goods that were appreciated by many.  Anna will be missed beyond measure but her wonderful legacy, compassion, and generosity will remain in the hearts of the countless lives she touched.

Anna was predeceased by her parents, Sawa and Maria (nee: Pastyrczyk) Rusyniak, her four brothers (Wasyl, Wanio, Jozef, and Michal Rusyniak), sister-in-law Anna Rusyniak, and her son Wasyl Miarecki.  Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Stefan Czupyk, and her two daughters - Teresa Blazejowskyj and husband, Wolodymyr in Bayonne and Elzbieta Palubniak and husband Jozef in Bielanka, and daughter-in-law Maria Miarecka in Bielanka. Additionally, Anna will be missed by six adored grandchildren (Anna and Markian Blazejowskyj and Mariusz, Justyna, Paulina, and Tomek Palubniak) and four great-grandchildren (Macius, Bartek, Julia, and Karolina). She is also  survived by many dear and loyal friends.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 8th, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. at the funeral home with a Parastas service at 7:00 pm followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 pm. 

A funeral service in Anna’s honor will be held at the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 30 East 25th Street, Bayonne, on Wednesday, September 9, at 10:00 am.  Interment will take place later in the week at the Cemetery Bielanka, in Bielanka, Poland.
