Anthony Andrade Obituary

Anthony Andrade, a lifelong Bayonne resident passed away peacefully at home, with his loving daughter by his side on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

A member of the Carpenters and Construction Union, Local #472, Anthony had a long and distinguished career in the construction industry.  Through discipline, hard work and reputation, he was promoted to foreman with DiClemente Contractors, Inc. in North Bergen.  During the Carpenters and Construction Union celebration, he was presented with a fifty-year pin in recognition of his outstanding dedication and service over the years.

Anthony appreciated life's simple pleasures such as sitting on his front porch socializing with neighbors, swimming in his backyard pool, and hosting  barbecues where he was known as a master griller.  His talent for gardening was evident in his beautiful array of plants and flowers, all of which he took pride in.

Although Anthony fancied few materialistic things in life, his Smart Car, (“ a notable exception”), was his great enjoyment as he looked forward to taking spins around town in it in his leisure time.  His daughter's Siberian Husky, Hailey, was without question his loyal companion and best friend who brought immeasurable warmth to his heart.

Left to cherish Anthony's memory are his loving daughter, Kim Andrade, and her fiancé, John Gortatowski, his sister, Catherine Bandinelli, and his brother, Joseph Andrade.  He is predeceased by his dearly beloved wife, Frances Andrade (nee: Lorence), his sister, Theresa, and two brothers, Thomas, and Neil Andrade.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing hours at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.

A Father's Touch
There's magic in a Father's touch,
and sunshine in his smile.
There's love in everything he does
to make our lives worthwhile.
We can find both hope and courage
just by looking in his eyes.
His laughter is a source of joy.
His words are warm and wise.
There is a kindness and compassion
to be found in his embrace.
And we see the light of Heaven
Shining from a father's face.
