Bernard Kane Obituary

The family of Bernard F. Kane, known to all as "Bernie" announces with deep sadness his unexpected passing on December 20, 2021.  Born in Jersey City, he moved to Kearny before returning back to his hometown where he resided for most of his life.  Bernie served his country proudly in the United States Army.  After completing his military duties, he worked as a warehouseman for the Hudson News Corporation in North Bergen for many years.

An avid sports fan, Bernie enjoyed following his favorite team, the Arizona Cardinals.  He routinely frequented his favorite local spot, PJ’s Deli, where he was known for his warm and friendly disposition.

Left to cherish his memory are his children and their families, Santina Marie and Carl Costanza and children, Carl Jr., Emily, and Grace Costanza; Michele Ann and Andrew Kozdron and their children, Justin Andrew Kozdron and Alyssa Kozdron; great-grandchildren, Gianna and Ashton Kozdron; Mathew Robert, Corey Nicholas, Kaitlyn Michele, and Alyssa Nicole Kozdron; Kevin Sr. and Marlene Kane and their son, Kevin Jr.,  Jean Marie and Luis DeJesus; Thomas and Sharmaine Kane and their daughter, Jasmine Daniels; Robert Castillo and Tanequa Fisher and their children, Jaylin and Emily Fisher.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a committal service at Rosehill Crematory chapel in Linden, NJ.

Due to the current rise in Covid cases, visitation will be limited to 25 people at a time.  It is respectfully asked that all visitors immediately exit the funeral home after briefly paying their respects so that others may have the same opportunity. As per the family's request, please refrain from any physical contact and wear a face covering before entering the funeral home.

Remember Me

Remember me whenever you see a sunrise.
Remember me whenever you see a star.

Remember me whenever you see a rainbow,
or woods in Autumn colors from afar.
Remember me whenever you see roses,
or seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue.

Remember me whenever you see waves
shining in the sun. Remember me and
I’ll be remembering you!

Remember me
whenever you see a teardrop or meadows
still wet with morning dew. Remember
me when you feel love growing in your
heart and remember I’ll be remembering
you!
