Carolina G. Mercado

Carolina G. Mercado, 49, of Bayonne, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Jersey City Medical Center.  Born in El Salvador, she emigrated to the United States in 1997.  She worked as an assembler and packager for the Bookazine Company in Bayonne for many years. 

Carolina will be remembered for her kindness and beautiful smile.  She will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched.

She was predeceased by her father Juan Cruz.  Left to cherish her memory are her loving mother Celina Mercado; two sons, Anthony and Michael Pannucci; one sister Verena C. DeZepeda; one brother Marcos Antonio Mercado; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A funeral mass in Carolina’s honor will be held on Friday, May 17, at 10:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22^nd  Street, Bayonne.  Entombment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery Mausoleum, 823 Westside Ave., Jersey City.
