Chi Kin Yeung passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, in Flushing, Queens, New York. Born on February 22, 1944 to Yang Xin Rong and Chen Yan in Fujian China, Chi Kin grew up in a loving home alongside his three brothers and two sisters.
Chi Kin was a devoted husband, loving father, and a man of many quiet gifts whose life was defined by perseverance, humility, and deep love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kam Neung Chau, his two daughters (Paula Yeung and Linda Yeung), and his two granddaughters (Victoria Cheung and Sophia Cheung), who will carry forward his legacy of resilience and kindness.
Chi Kin had a deep love for music and was especially gifted in playing musical instruments, most notably the piano. His musical journey began through self-learning and determination, and through perseverance, he earned the opportunity to study under a keyboard professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Throughout his life, he found great joy at the piano and generously shared his knowledge as a piano tutor and a piano accompanist.
Skilled in tailoring since his youth, Chi Kin was also known for his remarkable craftsmanship. With careful hands and a patient heart, he often mended and created clothing for his family — quiet acts that reflected his gentle and profound love. His resourcefulness extended further: despite limited educational resources, he taught himself English as a second language, demonstrating the persistence and humility that defined his character.
A man of Christian faith, Chi Kin lived with steady devotion, grace, and compassion. He will be remembered for his warmth, his quiet strength, and the many ways he expressed love through both music and craft.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, 20 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, New Jersey. Prayer services will be held at 11:30 AM, officiated by Fr. Tadeusz Majcher of St. John Paul II Parish. Interment will follow, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey.
