Constance Staugaitis

Constance "Connie", Staugaitis (nee: Helwig) 86, of Irvington, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2020, at the CareOne Nursing Home in Holmdel.

Connie was born in Irvington, to Florence and William Helwig, where she was a resident for the past 63 years.  She married the love of her life, Frank Staugaits and together they proudly raised twins, Robert and Cynthia.

Connie was a master cook, baker, and candy maker. She had a love for Broadway shows, dance, and travel.  Connie took extreme pride in her family and leaves behind beautiful memories and two rather large oil paintings of Robert and Cynthia.  A mother, a sister, an aunt, and a friend…she is already missed!

Connie was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2007.  She leaves behind her son Robert and his girlfriend Emma Donovan, daughter Cynthia Kilker  and husband Michael, brother William Helwig and wife Louise, sister Florence Schaefer and husband Walter, sister Gwendolyn Misurella, and sister Debbie Gottfried and husband Mike.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 10, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 Highway 35 North, Hazlet, NJ.  Interment will take place on Monday, January 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ. 

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.
