Dolores Hine of Port St. Lucie, Florida, entered into eternal rest peacefully on April 13, 2026, at the Treasure Coast Hospice Center in Stuart, Florida, after a brief illness. Born in Bayonne, NJ, Dolores worked for 30 years as an Executive Secretary in the legal department of Exxon Corporation in New York before retiring to Port St. Lucie, Florida, in 1996.
Dolores was a devout parishioner of St. Lucie Catholic Church, where she served as a Welcome Minister and volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures and in the friendships she shared through bowling, bocce, canasta, shuffleboard, and treasured the many friendships she made through her community activities.
Dolores was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, George, and her brothers, Joseph, Adam, and John Konecko. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Elizabeth Stewart of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jeanette Terhune of Avoca, Pennsylvania, and Dorothy Gorbacz of Port St. Lucie, Florida, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Entombment will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 12:30 pm. at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge, NJ, where all are kindly asked to meet directly at the chapel. A Catholic Committal Service will be officiated by Rev. Philip Sanders, Pastor of St. Mary's Church in Bayonne.
