Donna L. Gozzolino

Donna L. Gozzolino (nee: Onysko) entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, she lived there for many years before settling in Bayonne.  

Donna worked for over 15 years for the Hudson County Transcend, Jersey City's pick-up service for senior citizens. Her entrepreneurial spirit drew large crowds as a novelty vendor, selling her products at functions throughout the area, including the Bayonne Hometown Fair. Additionally, she has held positions in various companies in the food service industry for many years. 

Donna's adventurous spirit was a testament to her zest for life. She traveled extensively, enjoying cruises worldwide, including Aruba, Jamaica, Bermuda, and Shore excursions in Punta Cana. Her love for exploration led her on road trips to the Amish community in Pennsylvania, where she was fascinated by their culture and way of life. 

Above all else, nothing brought greater joy and fulfillment to Donna than her family. She led by example while instilling the values of respect, kindness, and love for one another. She was a nurturing and positive influence in her grandchildren's lives and embraced her role with tremendous pride. A true animal lover, Donna found happiness and comfort in the companionship of her three Shih Tzus, Mini, Sandde, and Rex, who were always by her side.

Although Donna's passing leaves a profound void, her presence and incredible legacy will be remembered for all eternity. She is survived by her dearly beloved husband of 30 years, James Gozzolino; her loving children, Cheryl and Kevin Dunn; five adored grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Jayden, Emily, and Liam; three sisters, Karen, Deborah, and Sharon; three brothers, Kenneth, Michael, and Daniel; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her dear parents, James and Marylou (Dobbins) Dunn. 

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. On Tuesday morning, June 4, all are welcome to gather at the funeral home before taking leave to Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, where Donna will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be most appreciated.
