Dr. Adam Paduszynski M.D. Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of Dr. Adam A. Paduszynski, announces his sudden passing on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Born and raised in Bayonne, where his humble beginnings shaped his life and purpose, he relocated to Matawan, NJ, twenty-three years ago.

From those early roots, Dr. Paduszynski received his education at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary School and graduated from Bayonne High School, Class of 1970. He continued his education at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences. He later attended the Wroclaw Medical University (Akademia Medyczna we Wroclawiu) in Wroclaw, Poland, graduating with honors.

After returning to the United States, Dr. Paduszynski completed his internship and residency at St. Luke’s University Hospital/Warren Hospital from 1986 to 1988. He went on to open his own medical practice in Bayonne, succeeding Dr. John Sakowski, and later joined the staff of Dr. Devajani Iyengar at the CarePoint Health Facility at Bayonne Medical Center, where he faithfully cared for his patients for many years. Licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey, Nevada, California, and Florida, Dr. Paduszynski approached his work with dedication, always making his patients feel comfortable and at ease while treating them with kindness, respect, and exceptional care.

Dr. Paduszynski was highly respected by his colleagues and peers in the medical community. Throughout his distinguished career, he earned their admiration for his outstanding skill, calm demeanor, and devotion. Those who worked alongside him recognized not only his ability as a physician but also his kindness and humility, which touched everyone who knew him.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Paduszynski was deeply devoted to his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who brought happiness to his life. He valued their time together during the holidays and special gatherings. Known for his sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor, he had an extraordinary ability to lift spirits and bring laughter to any room.  His love for travel led him to Germany, a place he enjoyed for its culture and history, as well as Poland, where visits with his extended relatives deepened his bond to his heritage.  In his leisure time, he found relaxation in visiting Atlantic City and joy in his love of music, especially when watching his nephew Rocco’s rock band perform at well-known venues like The Stone Pony and the Showboat Casino. A loyal New York Giants fan, he followed his team passionately through the seasons, always sharing in the excitement of each game.

Dr. Paduszynski will be deeply missed by his loving family, who will forever remember his warmth, generosity, and heartfelt love for them. His colleagues also mourn the loss of a trusted friend, respected leader, and compassionate physician whose dedication to medicine and care for others left a lasting impression. His legacy of kindness and professionalism will continue to live on in all those whose lives he touched.

He was the dearly beloved son of the late Ignatius and Irene (Zembrowski) Paduszynski, the loving brother of the late Theresa Ramella and the late Richard Paduszynski, and brother-in-law of the late Rocco Paolino. He was also predeceased by his beloved grandniece, Emmence Brooke Tyszka.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Sophie Paolino; his sister-in-law, Deborah Paduszynski; his niece and nephews, Jamie, Anthony, and Rocco Paolino; his wife, Cheryl; and his grandnieces and grandnephew, Rocco, Riley, Rachel, and June.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a visitation and celebration of Dr. Paduszynski’s life on Saturday, November 1, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, 20 East 22nd Street, Bayonne.

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me

to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow

of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo

whispering softly down the ways,

of happy times and laughing times,

and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve

to dry before the sun,

of happy memories that I leave

when life is done.
