Eduardito Ugaz, cherished father, son, brother, and friend to all, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Hackensack University Hospital.
Born in Lima, Peru, Eduardito immigrated with his family to the United States at the age of 6 and has since resided in Bayonne. He was employed as a dispatcher for the Export Transport Co. Prior to that, he was employed for several years at UPS. Eduardito was an avid fan of the Callao, Peru soccer team the “Sport Boys”. He enjoyed the excitement of the casinos in Atlantic City and reciting some of the best lines and phrases from his favorite comedies. His outgoing and sociable personality drew others to him naturally.
Eduardito will be remembered for many heartfelt memories, but perhaps none so much as the devoted father he was and the tremendous pride he took in his sons, Justin and Ethan, along with the unbreakable bond they shared. Despite the fact that they lived miles apart they stayed connected through their daily father/son phone calls.
In addition to his adored sons, Eduardito is survived by his loving parents Eduardo and Bertha (Bejar) Ugaz, and his brothers, Erick Ugaz and his wife Laura, and Seiby Ugaz.
Private services were held at Rosehill Crematory, in Linden, NJ.
I’ll Be There
There was no time to say goodbye
But this I ask – please do not cry
Remember me as you think best
The happy time – forget the rest.
Look for me and I’ll be there
And you will find me everywhere
In the gentle touch of breeze
That cools the skin or swirls the leaves.
In the scent and color of flowers
That gave to me such happy hours
On sunny days under sunny skies of blue
Just think of me, I’ll be with you.
In winter when there’s cloud or mist
The rain will give to you my kiss
As wood smoke lingers in the air
Look for me and I’ll be there.
Where seagulls cry above the sea
And surf rolls in so endlessly
Among towering trees that soar above
In all these things that I once loved
Look for me and I’ll be there
You’ll feel my presence everywhere.
