The family of Edward Joseph Vitale, announces with deep sadness his sudden and unexpected passing on Thursday, July 29, 2021. "Eddie", as he was known by all, was born and raised in Bayonne. He was a self-employed field engineer, a position he held for many years.
Eddie embraced life with many interests and hobbies including fixing all types of cars, watching his favorite sports team the "Jets", walking his Maltese buddy, Vegas, taking long drives, dinner date nights, shopping, and enjoying good conversations with family and friends while reminiscing about old times.
Of all the things Eddie loved and devoted himself to, it was to his wife, children, and extended family members that meant the most to him.
Eddie is now reunited for eternity with his dearly beloved wife, Dawn (Sherry) Vitale, who passed away on September 2, 2019. He is predeceased by his mother, Florence T. (Cerbone) Vitale, and his mother-in-law, Barbara Piazza. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Savanna and Jonathan Vitale, his father, Michael Vitale, two brothers, Michael Vitale and wife Diane, and Joseph Vitale, sister-in-law, Josephine Serafin, father-in-law, Andrew Piazza, niece, Harley Miranda, nephews, Tyler Vitale, and Jaxson Miranda, and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Monday, August 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Catholic prayer service officiated by Fr. Lukasz Kleczka of St. John Paul II Parish (at a time to be announced). Cremation at Rosehill Crematory will be private.
I'm free
Don't grieve for me, for now, I'm free,
I'm following the path God made for me:
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love to work, or play:
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembering joy,
A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss;
Ah, yes these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow;
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now--He set me free.
