Eliezer Gonzalez

Eliezer Gonzalez, of North Bergen, NJ, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend to all, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Born in Cuyón, Puerto Rico, Eliezer was five years old when he and his family moved to Jersey City, then North Bergen, where he lived for most of his life.  Prior to his retirement he worked as a knitting machine operator for G & G Services in Jersey City, a position he held for many years. 

Eliezer was a true gentleman who will be remembered most for his integrity, humility, and compassion for others.  His free-spirited nature was expressed through his love for the outdoors and his passion for riding his Harley motorcycle.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to music from the Golden Oldies and restoring vintage muscle cars to their original luster.  

Eliezer will be missed beyond measure, but his wonderful lighthearted legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known him.  
Loving son of the late Rev. Almirido and Ana T. (Rolon) Gonzalez; dear brother of the late Eliu and Benjamin Gonzalez.  Left to cherish his memory are his children, Laura Ann Marie, Jennifer, David and Jonathan Gonzalez, grandchildren, and his great grandchild. Additionally, are his brothers and sisters, Obed Gonzalez (Linda), Margarita Gonzalez, Miriam Gonzalez, Persida Vargas (Angel), Sara Gonzalez-Arias (Roberto), Eva Gonzalez, Maida Colon-Gonzalez (Wilberto), Edwin Gonzalez, and Almirido Gonzalez Jr. aka Nuny (Gysele) and his many cherished nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday morning March 14, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. for a visitation before taking leave to Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden, NJ, where Eliezer will be laid to rest.
