In the early hours of January 6th,
Elizabeth Tomace, (nee: Giordano), slipped peacefully into the arms of the Lord.
Born in 1927 in Jersey City, NJ, Elizabeth (known as Betty) lived a wonderfully long 93 years surrounded by her family that she cherished so dearly. Betty was lovingly known for always wearing bright fuchsia lipstick, playing the slot machines in Atlantic City and enjoying her favorite appetizer, clams on the half shell.
She married the love of her life, Joseph Tomace, on June 11, 1949 and together they raised their three children in Bayonne. She is survived by her children, Donald (Dolores) Tomace of Richmond Heights, MO, David (Deborah) Tomace of Bayonne, NJ and Linda (Frank) Macri of Indian Harbor Beach, FL, her grandchildren, Dorian, DJ (Jessie), Rebecca and fiance' Evan, Melissa and Jillian Tomace and her longtime boyfriend Joseph, Frankie (Tasha) and Tiffany (Rich) Macri and Jessica (Chris) Kausch as well as four great grandchildren, Dominic and Vienna Macri, Vivian Kausch and Dax Tomace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tomace, parents, Dominick and Lena Giordano, nee Perretta, and her brother, Nufrio Giordano.
Her greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, serving as matriarch over her dear family.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral Mass for immediate family only will be celebrated.
