Francis Alvin O’Hare, age 75, (also known as Frank), passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Peace Care St. Ann's in Jersey City. Born and raised in Bayonne, he was a lifelong resident.
Frank retired in 2014 after 10 years of service as a machinist with Mac Products, Inc., in Kearny, New Jersey. Previous employers included Reagan Precision Industries in North Arlington New Jersey as well as various manufacturing companies in New Jersey.
A self-described “history buff,” particularly on the Civil and American Revolutionary wars, and other wars around the world, Frank was an avid reader having read countless amounts of books on his historical interests. He had a zest for life that included traveling to Canada to visit relatives and meeting his friends for their daily breakfast get-togethers at the local diner while socializing about the news of the day.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marion (Flewilling) O’Hare, his siblings, Joseph and Barbara Gallagher, and his the many canine buddies who brought extreme joy to his life including, Angel, Penny, and Muffin, to name a few. Left to cherish his memory are his dearly beloved wife of 53 years, Virginia (Pindris) O’Hare, his brother and wife, Robert and Marylee, as well as the Pindris family and several nieces and nephews along with their families.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Friday morning, July 23, from 9:15 am to 11:15 am, followed by a Catholic Religious service at 10:45 am conducted by Fr. Lukasz Kleczka of the Parish of St. John Paul II. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City.
