Frederick J. Dragwo, 77, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
“Fred”, as he was known by all, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Jersey City, then settling in Bayonne for the past 25 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the New York Transit Authority as a bus driver, a position he held for more than 30 years.
Some of Fred’s favorite memories included spending time with his wife Irene on their much anticipated trips to the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City where together they enjoyed taking relaxing walks and watching the ocean views.
Fred was the dearly beloved husband of 48 years to Irene (nee: Czachorowski, deceased one month ago), and dear son to parents, Joseph and Lottie (Sikora) Dragwo. Left to cherish his memory are his loving son, Brett Dragwo, his brother Walter Dragwo and wife Dorothy, and three nieces, Karen Cardamone and husband Andrew, Deborah Gitto and husband Lawrence, and Loraine Dragwo.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home, on Thursday, October 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass in Fred’s honor will be held Friday, October 4, at 11:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
