Gary Zabnicki Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Gary Lewis Zabnicki on Friday, November 15, 2024. He left this world peacefully, embraced by the warmth and love of his family. A native of Newport, Rhode Island, Gary relocated to Bayonne, NJ, where he has since established a fulfilling and vibrant life.

Gary was a direct support professional at the Windmill Alliance Center in Bayonne. Prior to this role, he was employed for several years in the Security Department of IMTT Corporation, also located in Bayonne. Throughout his career, he consistently exhibited a strong commitment to professionalism and dedication.

Gary loved the thrilling atmosphere of live concerts, especially those that displayed the intense energy of heavy metal music. He took joy in his free time at home, immersing himself in video games and indulging in his passion for painting and restoring miniatures.

Gary's gentle spirit revealed the depth of his kind heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Towering in stature, he stood out not just for his physical presence but also for the warmth and compassion he radiated. Gary's legacy will live on through his unwavering commitment to organ donation with the Sharing Network. His selfless choice illuminated the lives of many in need, offering them hope during their darkest moments. Although he is no longer with us in a physical sense, his dedication will continue to encourage all of us to embrace kindness and extend a helping hand to those facing life's challenges.

Gary is survived by his dearly beloved companion, Leslie Lipnicki; his parents, Keith Allen Hundley and Nancy (Ladzinski) Lagomarsino; daughters, Jade Zabinicki, Madison Zabnicki, Scarlett Kalos; son, Alex Zabnicki; sisters, Thea and Athena Zabnicki and brother, Douglas Zabnicki; and his adored grandson, Marcel Zabnicki.

A private cremation was held at the Rosehill Crematory in Linden, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Gary’s life at a memorial gathering at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Gone is the face we loved so dear,

Silent is the voice we love to hear;

Too far away for sight or speech,

But not too far away for thought to reach.

Sweet to remember him, who once was here.

And who, though absent, is just as dear.

Our lips cannot tell how we miss him.

Our hearts cannot tell what to say.

God alone knows how we miss him.

In a home that is lonesome today.
