The family of Grzegorz Foltynski announces with deep sorrow his sudden and untimely passing on August 1, 2023.
Born in Poland, Grzegorz immigrated to the United States in 1994 where he lived in New Jersey. He then moved to Pennsylvania for 13 years before returning to New Jersey a few years ago. He held a longtime position as a machine mechanic for the Cenveo Corporation in Jersey City where he was admired and highly regarded by his colleagues.
Grzegorz was artistically gifted, often making playful drawings and fruit sculptures to make his children laugh. He was an excellent cook who loved preparing unique meals in the kitchen, on the grill, or the open fire for his friends and family. He was also an all around handy man with the ability to fix just about anything. With a zest for life and the outdoors, Grzegorz enjoyed road trips to his favorite beaches located in New Jersey, Florida, and Virginia where he soaked up the sun, sand, and views of the ocean waves.
Above all, Grzegorz was a devoted father who had an abundance of love and pride for his children and cherished spending every moment with them. He is now reunited in heaven with his father, Teofil Foltynski, and his sister, Katarzyna Foltynska. He is survived and is lovingly remembered by his mother, Wieslawa (nee: Jarzylo) Foltynska, his children, Klaudia Foltynska and David Foltynski, his stepdaughter, Zuzanna Suchocka and their mother, Anna Foltynski; his sister, Justyna (nee: Foltynska) Kuczynski and husband Piotr, his brother, Jacek Foltynski and wife Kristen Reale, his niece Naomi Kuczynski, and his girlfriend, Aneta Pisarska. Grzegorz’s vibrant presence will be greatly missed by his extended family in Poland, as well as the friends he made throughout his life.
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, August 6, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a Catholic service conducted at 3:00 PM by Fr. Grzegorz Szewczyk of St. John Paul II Parish. A funeral mass will be offered at the Chapel of Our Lady of Czestowchowa Cemetery on Monday, August 7, at 12:30 PM, with interment to follow.
