Halina L. Goworek

Halina L. (Kosmala) Goworek passed away on April 24, 2026, at her Bayonne residence. Born in Poland, Halina completed her studies at the University of Warsaw  and was employed there as a economist specialist in Treqsure City before immigrating to the United States, where Bayonne became her longtime home.

Halina was predeceased by her parents, Bronislaw and Weronica (Bednarek) Kosmala. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joanna Malgorzata Lozicka of Italy; her son, Piotr of Poland; her brothers, Andrzej and Witold Kosmala, and his wife, Teresa; her granddaughter, Paulina Lozicka; nieces, Alexandra and Margarita Kosmala, and Elyssia Kosmala; and nephew, Michael Kosmala.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 13, at 11 am at St. John Paul II Parish (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church), 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.

May God’s love and grace forever surround Halina, and may prayers and remembrance of her continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
