Irene (Zembrowski) Paduszynski

After a life well-lived, Irene (Zembrowski) Paduszynski, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Peace Care of St. Ann’s in Jersey City, at the blessed age of 99.

Born in Poznań, Poland, Irene emigrated to the United States in the early 1950s and made Bayonne her home for the past 75 years. She worked for many years as a seamstress for several local businesses.

A proud homemaker, Irene had a deep passion for cooking and baking, especially when it came to preparing Sunday dinners for her family. Her exceptional culinary skills created cherished traditions, and her meals became the heart of family gatherings, bringing everyone together with warmth and joy. She was an active member of Głos Polek, known as “The Voice of Polish Women,” and a longtime member of the Polish American Citizens Club. She was also a member of the St. Anne’s Society and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, reflecting her strong commitment to both her faith and her profession.

Irene’s legacy is one of love, strength, tradition, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ignatius in 1992, her loving parents Ignacy and Marianna (Gornacka) Zembrowski, her daughter Theresa Ramella, her son, Richard Paduszynski, her son-in-law, Rocco Paolino, her three brothers, George, Tadek, and Henry Zembrowski, her two grandsons, Jason Ramella and Shane, and her great-granddaughter, Emmence.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sophie Paolino, and her son, Dr. Adam Paduszynski, MD, along with her daughter-in-law, Deborah Paduszynski (Richard). Irene was a treasured grandmother to Jamie, Anthony, and Rocco Paolino and great-grandmother to Rocco, Riley, Rachel, and June.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, June 29, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will follow on Monday, June 30, at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, at 11:30 AM, officiated by Rev. James Spera.
