Joan Rose, 76, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Bayonne Medical Center.
Joan enjoyed spending time in the comforts of her home caring for her precious feline friends, Frisky and Millie and was especially passionate about helping the most vulnerable neighborhood feral strays who found refuge in her compassion.
Joan was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband Harold Sr. and her cherished son and daughter, Harold Jr. and Joann. She is survived by her children, Cheryl and David Rose, and her three grandchildren, Nathan, Zack, and Amanda Cabisca.
All services were private.
Afterglow
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun of happy memories
that I leave behind when day is done.
