John Phillip Baccarella

John Phillip Baccarella, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Bayonne Medical Center.

John was born in Jersey City and has resided most of his life in Bayonne.  He worked as an electrician for the Jersey City Post Office, a position he held for the past 7 years.  

With a love for the outdoors, John enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore with his friends and riding his motorcycle.  

John was predeceased by his father, Phillip J. Baccarella (in 2009).  Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Laura (nee: Warner) Baccarella, his son, Mathew Burke and his mother Karen Burke, and his aunt Irene Stevenson.  Services and cremation were private.

As wood smoke lingers in the air
Look for me and I’ll be there.

Where seagulls cry above the sea
And surf rolls in so endlessly
Among towering trees that soar above
In all these things that i once loved
Look for me and I’ll be there
You’ll feel my presence everywhere.
