Judith A. Salvatore entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Bayonne for most of her life. For many years, Judy diligently distributed Bayonne's TV Talk booklets to numerous businesses across the town.
Judy wholeheartedly embraced her role as mother to her beloved daughter, Stephanie, and did so with immense pride and joy. Their enduring mother-daughter relationship flourished through life's successes and challenges, with Stephanie standing faithfully by her mother's side, serving as a testament to the resilience of their unshakable bond. She was known as “Gigi" to her daughter's adored Shiba Inu, Koji, who was more than just a pet but a cherished member of their family. In her words, he was her “most special grandson”.
Judy's home’s signature theme reflected the timeless elegance of British design, inspired by her trip to England, where she was captivated by the country's rich heritage and sophisticated style. She took pleasure in transforming her surroundings with seasonal holiday decorations, but her creativity truly sparkled during Halloween. Judy's exceptional baking and cooking skills never failed to impress at family gatherings. From her mouthwatering icebox cookies to her perfectly seasoned Thanksgiving stuffing, each bite and spoonful was guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
Affectionately known by all as the "Emoji Queen," Judy had a knack for brightening everyone's days with her emoji-filled text messages. Earning the title "Rock and Roll Girl," Judy's passion for music was evident in her love for high-energy concerts by her favorite artists, such as Def Leppard, Rick Springfield, and Shinedown, to name a few! She was a longtime diehard fan of the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers (and Aaron Rodgers!), with a genuinely infectious team spirit.
Her ultimate indulgence was the Outlaw Ribeye steak, perfectly complemented by a refreshing Strawberry Margarita (no salt, no sugar!) At home, she was a Coors Lite enthusiast.
She loved tuning into soap operas (General Hospital was her favorite) and various other TV shows and movies. Batman was her favorite character, and she playfully dubbed her home “The Batcave."
Judy's legacy will serve as an ongoing source of inspiration and guidance, touching the lives of her loved ones and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Judy was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, Michael Salvatore (2015), her parents, Norman and Ann M. (Kaszuba) Bond, and her sister, Debra Addison. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stephanie Bond, and her husband, Jeremy Brubaker; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Michele Meehan (George), Ellen Duffy, and James Addison; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene Bond (Rosemarie), and Edward Bond (Diane); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakota Wolf Preserve would be most appreciated.
In Loving Memory of Judy
Some people come into
our lives and quickly go.
Others stay for awhile
and touch our hearts
so deeply that we are
never the same
