Kevin Magda Obituary

Kevin Walter Magda, 65, of Bayonne, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on June 27, 2026, with his loving family by his side. Before his retirement in 2016, Kevin dedicated many years of service to the City of Bayonne’s Maintenance Department, where he was known for his hard work and dependability. Retirement allowed him to relocate to Kingman, Arizona, where he spent the next seven years enjoying life's simple pleasures, fishing, and appreciating nature's beauty, as well as spending his leisure time listening to many of his favorite classic rock artists. He recently returned to  Bayonne to be closer to his family, who always held a special place in his heart.

Known for his remarkable ability to fix just about anything, Kevin was the person family, friends, and neighbors relied on when something needed repair. Whether it was a simple fix or a more challenging project, he always found a way to get the job done and was happy to lend a helping hand.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Walter Magda Sr. and Ruth (Olko) Magda. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Gail Turley and her husband Gordon, Gwen Pineiro and her husband Joe, and Grace Lombardi and her husband Steve; his brother, Walter Magda Jr. and his wife Jill; his nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Alaina, Karina, Jocelyn, Jordan, Amanda, Walter III, John, Alyssa, Gabrielle, Kevin, Ava, and Zofia; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alan, Kristian, and Olivia; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday morning, June 30, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org/)  or the Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/)
