Leo R. Giacomarro, 79, of Bayonne, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Born in Italy, Leo came to the United States at the age of 19 where he resided in Paterson, NJ, for most of his life before settling in Bayonne for the past 15 years. He was employed as a forklift operator for the APA Trucking Company in North Bergen before his retirement in 1997.
Dearest son of the late Jiacomo Giacomarro and Maria Mistretta. Leo leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters Enza Turdo and Daniella Giacomarro and their spouses and children; his life companion, Cremilde Goncalves and step-son George Goncalves and his wife and children; his sisters, Cecilia Mistretta and Annette Balsamo and their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Monday, January 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass in Leo’s honor will be offered on Tuesday, January 10, at St. John Paul II Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Paterson, N.J.
