Lisa E. Gonos, 43, of Bayonne, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at her residence.
Born in Jersey City, Lisa has resided most of her life in Bayonne. She was a graduate of St. Peter's University, Jersey City, where she received her degree in education. Lisa was employed at Holy Family Academy and then as a substitute teacher with the Bayonne Board of Education. Her passion for teaching impacted the lives of her countless students throughout the years. Later on, Lisa selflessly and without hesitation left her profession to dedicate herself as caretaker to her parents. She was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Henry’s Church, Bayonne.
Lisa was predeceased by her beloved parents, Harry and Maria (nee: Wasenda) Gonos. Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Mary Holuta and her husband Walter and Anna “Ann” Gonos; and her niece Daniella Holuta;
A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday morning, December 27, from 8:15 am to 10:00 am. followed by a 10:15 am funeral mass in Lisa's honor at St. Henry's Church, 82 West 29th Street, Bayonne. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
