Lori Lynn Brett, a lifelong Bayonne resident entered into eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Lori took extreme pride in her role as a camp counselor for the Bayonne Recreation Ability Day Camp and the Hudson Milestones of Bayonne, where she was recognized as a positive role model and mentor to individuals with disabilities and special needs.
Known for her infectious smile and outgoing personality, Lori could light up any room she entered. She was a longtime member of the Hudson Ability Bowling League and was an avid swimmer who competed in track and field with the Special Olympics.
Most importantly Lori was devoted to her Catholic faith and attended mass at St. Vincent's Church where she would proudly and faithfully bring the gifts to the altar every Sunday for the 8:00 a.m. mass.
Lori will be missed and remembered for her amazing spirit and kind nature and will forever remain in the hearts of her loving family and friends.
Beloved daughter of the late Thomas Brett Sr. and Barbara Brett (nee: Lagus), dear sister of the late, Thomas Brett Jr., Leena Serkin, and Linda Killmer. Left to cherish her memory are her loving nieces, Angela Sanniola (Timothy), and Fallon Killmer, and her two grandnephews, Jakob, and Evan Sanniola.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 27, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass in Lori's honor will be offered on Tuesday, March 28, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
