Madeline Rand

Madeline Rand (nee: Russo), a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully on November 13, 2022. 

Madeline was employed with the Bayonne Board of Education where she worked in maintenance at the Bailey Elementary School for over 15 years.  She was  also a longtime active member of the 56th Street Senior Club in Bayonne.

Madeline was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, Raymond Rand (2008), her parents, Joseph and Pauline (Lodguidice) Russo, her sister, Mary Cruz, and brothers, Lawrence and Dominick. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Judith Jasinski and husband Michael and Genevieve Kelley and husband Edward, 2 grandsons, Vincent Picone and Mathew Kelley, and her sisters, Rose Reynolds and Theresa Dinkel and brother, Joseph.

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.   A funeral mass will be offered in Madeline’s honor on Friday, November 18,  at John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.  Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum in Jersey City. 

AFTERGLOW

I’d like the memory of me

to be a happy one,

 I’d like to leave an afterglow

 of smiles when life is done.

 I’d like to leave an echo

 whispering softly down the ways,

 of happy times and laughing

 times and bright and sunny days.

 I’d like the tears of those
