Maria A. Garcia

Maria A. Garcia, 63, of Bayonne, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Bayonne Medical Center with her loving family by her side.  Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she relocated to Brooklyn, NY, at the age of 18 before settling in Bayonne for the past 30 years. 

With a passion for helping others, Maria proudly began her career as a homecare provider 25 years ago with the Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County.  She was highly regarded and respected in her field as a spirited woman whose compassion, warmth and kindness brought comfort and light to the lives she touched.  Maria enjoyed shopping trips with her dear friends and the simple pleasures life had to offer. 

Maria was predeceased by her parents, Juan and Antonia (nee: Torres) Garcia and her life companion of 40 years, Eliud Medina (in August 2019), her granddaughter, Anayh Reustle.  Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Rose Garcia and Griselle Maldonado, and seven brothers, and eight sisters.

Funeral services were private.
