Maria L. Martinez

Maria L. Martinez entered into eternal rest peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 25, 2023. Born in the Dominican Republic she immigrated to the United States in 1994 and has lived in Bayonne for the past 29 years. 

Maria's was a proud homemaker whose greatest joy was spending time with her family and taking care of the needs of her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.  Her loving nature and selfless spirit will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to live on and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. 

Maria was predeceased by her parents, Juan Francisco and Avarde (Mendoza) Martinez, and her beloved daughter Socorro Martinez. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rosa Abreu and her husband Raphael, Solange Martinez, Teresa Rodriguez, and Maritza Martinez, Alejandro Genao, Moreno Genao, Victoriano Genao, and Idalio D. LaRosa and her many adored grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Monday, October 30, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Catholic religious service at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Fr. Morris Montoya of Blessed Miriam Theresa Demjanovich Parish.  Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ.

 El que habita al abrigo del Altísimo
Morará bajo la sombra del Omnipotente.
