Marianna S. Karulski

After a life well lived, Marianna Karulski (nee: Sulewski), entered into eternal rest peacefully at her daughter Christina's home in Lonoka Harbor, New Jersey, on October 19, 2022.  Born in Poland, Marianna immigrated to the United States in 1963 and has resided in Bayonne for the past 59 years. 

Marianna developed a creative touch as a seamstress for the Bayonne Fashion Company, a position she held for many years before her retirement in 1989.  A devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, she was a longtime member of the St. Cecelia's Polish Choir.  She also remained active in the Bayonne Polish community where she was a proud member of the Kola Nowej Polonii. 

Marianna thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends.  Her favorite pastimes included trips to Atlantic City and tending to her garden.  She will be remembered for her warm smile and friendly demeanor to those around her. 

Although her family is saddened by her passing, they take comfort in knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Stanley Karulski Sr., her cherished daughter, Halina, her parents, Andrez and Anastazia Sulewski, and her 7 brothers and sisters.  Marianna leaves only joyful memories to her children, Christina Jasovsky (Thomas), Wendy Donaway (Thomas), Stanley Karulski Jr. (Wieslawa), grandchildren, Justine, Timmy, Tommy, Chris, and her 8 great-grandchildren. 

Visiting hours will be held at the Dworzanski & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  A funeral mass in Marianna's honor will be offered on Monday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
